Xueshan North Peak is located on the northern ridge of the Xueshan Range within Shei-Pa National Park, forming an important summit along the northern approach to Xueshan Main Peak. The mountain is composed mainly of sandstone, slate, and metamorphic rocks, with its landscape shaped by tectonic uplift, weathering, and erosion over geological time. Its terrain features broad ridgelines, alpine slopes, and high-elevation grasslands, creating a distinctive mountain environment. The surrounding area preserves valuable alpine ecosystems, including Taiwan fir forests, alpine shrubs, and dwarf bamboo grasslands that support a variety of endemic mountain flora. Due to its elevated position and expansive views, Xueshan North Peak offers exceptional panoramas of Xueshan Main Peak, Mt. Dabajian, the Holy Ridge, and the northern Central Mountain Range, making it one of Taiwan’s notable locations for alpine landscape photography and ecological observation.
